How to connect MDUINO 42 with BCNC/GRBL ?

Hi,

I have a problem to connect PLC industrialshields Mduino 42+ and BCNC (it seemed a good idea to do that ,before I had only an Arduino mega without the package found inside the Mduino42+ ( separed power supply, optocouplers, etc) .

I can read the arduino mega card number but it's impossible to connect the PLC and BCNC together ("Not connected" message ).
The compiling process with Arduino IDE (1.8.15 version) done before is good with no errors messages (Librairies for Mduino installed, file Cpu_map from Grbl 1.1f modified according with Mduino42+ environnment).
My version for Python is 3.9.15 ,for Pip is pip-21.1.2,for Grbl is grbl-Mega-1.1f .
Could you help me ,I think it'is a good case to solve (PLC Industrialshields provide an industrial environnement around Arduino products ) but for the moment no issue to pilot my DIY CNC.
Thanks in advance

Hi Yves,

When I edit the file Cpu_map from Grbl 1.1f , I've errors like "Q0_X is not declared in this scope". Do you know what I'm doing wrong ?
Ive a Mduino 21+.

I thank you a lot for your reply.

Hi,

Thanks you for your answer. In fact I have found the solution alone reeding with a lot of thoroughness the userguide page26 on 53(Mduino42+).You have a note about the switch serial communication (to put  in "OFF" to enable the serial communication in work) hidden behind a plastic cover!!!!Perhaps I think you have to write this point in bold. Now all is ok ,no errors messages ,I hope to try my DIY CNC today!

Dear Yves,

Please let us know  more about you applitaction in order to help you, if you can share with us which library on Arudino IDE are you using, the connections made between the MDuino PLC model and the PC with BCNC (USB/Ethernet/..) .

Alsi the PLC needs to be connected to an external PSU (12/24Vdc) to work properly.

Please let us know more about the application that you are currently running, we can replicate the same scenario at our facilities and work on it!
