Communication with USB device conncted on PLC serial port

Avatar
Guest

I'm trying to drive an USB device with my MDuino PLC... For doing that i have tried to connect my USB cable like a serial connection.

I have connected the USB Data+ on the Serial RX while the USB Data- is on the Serial TX. Is this the way to do it?

In order to achieve this communication, you need to connect the USB wiring:
USB data- on TX1, USB data+ on RX1 and finally the GND wire to the PLC to have the same GND reference (Usially is the black wire).

Then check that Serial1 is activated on the Switch configuration pins, TX1 and RX1 at OFF position (check the user manual if you don't find them).

After setting the PLC with this connections and having it connected (12/24 Vdc), it must work for your requirements,

Thank you very much for contacting us.
